After almost twenty years’ experience in the health care field, Benita Crook learned that the seniors who seemed to get the best care were the ones who had family in town and good finances. She felt that many folks fell to the wayside and that their rights were being violated in small but effective ways.
To help ensure that seniors in all types of settings got the care they deserve, Benita founded Senior Care Advocates. Care facilities do the best job they can, but let’s face it—they are shorthanded, underfunded and there’s never enough time.
Benita’s passion is to make sure families have resources that help guide them in all aspects of care for their loved one. Her skill set allows her to see “all sides of the picture,” which brings solutions to both facilities and families. During her tenure as Director of Operations for a private duty company, she earned a great deal of respect from both families and facilities. She is blessed with the gifts of excellent listening skills, the ability to be empathic and her willingness to be patient and get all the facts before making decisions.
Benita earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Webster University and currently serves on the board of Memory Care Home Solutions. She is also an active member of the Professional Women’s Alliance. Senior Care Advocates is also fully bonded and insured.
Originally from Cleveland, Benita has resided in St. Louis since 1978. She enjoys her two cats, gardening, reading and spending time with her two adult children and four grandchildren, who all live within five miles of her home.
